The Havana Biennial of Art is a highlight of the Latin American contemporary art scene and a prestigious event in the contemporary art world. It attracts a wide variety of artists, musicians and performers from within Cuba and around the world. Cuba’s contemporary art scene has boomed in recent years in part due to the promotion and exposure the Havana Biennial has offered to both established and emerging Cuban artists. The 2015 Biennial will take place May 22-June 22, 3 years after the previous Biennale in 2012. Biennial headquarters is the Centro Wilfredo Lam in Old Havana. This is where curators and their staff take care of Biennial business while the actual art excitement happens elsewhere and everywhere around town. In museums, galleries, restaurants, on the Malecon, Prado, in churches, squares, on the water front and anywhere one walks, the city is filled with art, music dancing, parades, protests, costumes and more – a feast for all senses! Don't miss this opportunity to experience this wonderful Art happening on one of our four one week trips.
