Why Our Trips are Special
Many of the beautiful images of Patricia Pomerleau's video below were taken on "Cuba with Batia" trips.
No one taking groups to Cuba knows the country like Batia. Since her first trip in 1999, Batia - a community organizer with an acute sensitivity to people and cultures - has led scores of groups of all kinds. Join her to meet extraordinary Cubans in various settings with whom you can exchange ideas, go behind the scenes to the private homes of artists, dine in the most interesting restaurants, meet the new generation of entrepreneurs, hear and dance to Cuban music and meet some of Cuba’s finest musicians. Your guide extraordinaire will be Alexis Hernandez, who has worked with Batia for the past 10 years and whose knowledge of history, art, architecture, music, botany, literature will amaze you.
Batia is planning 3-7 day trips to Cuba for Fall 2016 and Winter/Spring 2017. You'll spend several days in Havana on short trips or a week on longer trips, visiting towns farther out on the island such as Cienfuegos, Trinidad de Cuba, Santa Clara, etc.
Note: We will always customize trips for private group that may either want to stay in Havana only or and visit and encounter other Cubans in other places around the island, such as Vinyales, Matanzas, and even as far East as Santiago de Cuba.
